# tutorial 01.
wearmedown asked some tips for a gemma ward's icon of mine.
made with PHOTOSHOP CS3; don't think it is translatable.

1. start with a base:
2. duplicate your base and set the mode on OVERLAY @ 30%:

3. duplicate your base again and set the mode on SCREEN @ 30%:

4. make a new curves layer and set the mode on SOFTLIGHT:
RGB
INPUT: 106;
RED
OUTPUT: 150;
INPUT: 115;
GREEN
OUTPUT: 137;
(first point)
BLUE
INPUT: 164;
OUTPUT: 181;
(second point)
INPUT: 114;
OUTPUT: 130;
(third point)
INPUT: 67;
OUTPUT: 100;
INPUT: 82;
OUTPUT: 142;

5. make a new selective color layer with this settings: REDS
CYAN: -100;
YELLOWS
MAGENTA: 0;
YELLOW: +100;
BLACK: 0;
CYAN: -53;
NEUTRALS
MAGENTA: +22;
YELLOW: +100;
BLACK: +100;
CYAN: +8;
BLACKS
MAGENTA: -7;
YELLOW: -5;
BLACK: 0;
CYAN: 0;
MAGENTA: 0;

BLACK: +49;

6. make a new photo filter layer with this settings:

7. make a new levels layer with this settings:

5. make a new selective color layer with this settings: BLACKS

MAGENTA: 0;
